These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites, products and services of Merethion (OPC) Private Limited (One Person Company), CIN U62011HR2026OPC149002, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office at Unit No. 309-A, 3rd Floor, Tower-A SAS Tower, Sec-38, Gurgaon, Sadar Bazar, Gurgaon – 122001, Haryana, India (“Merethion”, “we”, “us”). This includes merethion.com and the Akriva™ platform at akriva.ai (together, the “Services”). Akriva™ is a brand of Merethion (OPC) Private Limited, and your agreement is with Merethion.
You accept these Terms when you tick the box agreeing to them — at institute sign-up, student sign-up or checkout — and we keep a record of that agreement. If you accept on behalf of an institute or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it, and “Customer” means that organisation.
1. The Services
Akriva is an online platform for coaching institutes, teachers and students. It drafts question papers with the help of artificial intelligence and checks them before a teacher approves them, conducts computer-based tests in the style of the NTA examinations, and produces performance analysis and reports for students, parents and teachers. Features depend on the plan and may change over time.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- Institute accounts are for institutes, their owners and authorised faculty. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us promptly of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be legally able to enter into a contract under Indian law to open an institute account or to buy a plan.
- Students under 18: a paid Student plan must be bought by a parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these Terms on the student’s behalf. A student under 18 may join the free test series only with the agreement of a parent or guardian.
- Students who take tests through their institute do so under the institute’s account. The institute is responsible for obtaining any consent required for its students, including verifiable consent from a parent or guardian for students under 18.
3. Plans, prices and payment
- The free pilot needs no card and no payment. Paid plans and their prices are shown on the pricing page.
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and exclude GST, which is charged at the applicable rate (currently 18%) and shown on your tax invoice.
- Payments are processed by our payment gateway partner, IDFC FIRST Bank. We never see or store your card or banking credentials.
- Plans are paid in advance, monthly or annually. They do not renew automatically: before a period ends we send a renewal invoice or payment link, and the plan continues only when it is paid.
- Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
- We may change prices or plan limits for future periods, with notice before the change applies to you.
4. AI-generated content
- Questions, solutions and related material are drafted with the help of artificial-intelligence systems and checked automatically before a teacher sees them. They are drafts for review by qualified educators: the institute’s faculty are responsible for reviewing and approving content before giving it to students.
- We work hard on accuracy but do not warrant that AI-generated content is free of errors. If you find an error, tell us and we will correct it.
- Like any AI tool, the platform may generate similar questions for other users.
- No repeats: when Akriva generates a new paper for your institute, it never includes a question your institute has already used. Your faculty may still choose to re-add an earlier question themselves.
- Scores, percentile bands, rank estimates and other analytics are guidance for practice only. They are not admissions advice and carry no guarantee of examination results.
5. Your content and data
- You keep all rights in the data and material you provide — student lists, institute details, and any questions or material you write or upload (“Customer Data”). Questions and material you write or upload are private to your institute and are never offered to another institute.
- You give us permission to use Customer Data only to provide the Services, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never use Customer Data or student data to train AI models.
- You confirm that you have the right, including every consent needed from students and parents or guardians, to provide Customer Data to us.
- Papers and questions generated for you may be exported, printed and used by you for your own teaching and assessment. We keep the rights in the platform and in AI-generated material, and grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for that purpose.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- resell, sublicense or provide the Services to others except as your plan allows;
- try to probe, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Services or their infrastructure;
- upload or share unlawful, infringing or harmful material, or material you have no right to use;
- scrape, bulk-extract or systematically copy content other than through the export features we provide;
- bypass verification, access controls or test-integrity measures, or present practice analytics as official examination results.
To report unlawful content, write to our Grievance Officer (section 13). We acknowledge every report within 24 hours and act on it within 15 days, as the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 require.
7. Intellectual property
The Services — the software, design, the names and marks “Merethion” and “Akriva™”, and all associated goodwill — belong to Merethion (OPC) Private Limited or its licensors. No rights are granted except as these Terms set out. We may use feedback you give us to improve the Services, without obligation to you.
8. Availability and support
We aim to keep the Services available at all times, but they are provided “as is” and “as available”. Planned maintenance and events beyond our reasonable control may cause interruptions. If a fault on our side stops you running a scheduled test, our Cancellation & Refund Policy sets out what we do. Support is available as described on our Contact page.
9. Limitation of liability
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from the Services.
- Our total liability for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you actually paid us for the Services in that period.
- Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
10. Indemnity
The Customer will indemnify Merethion against claims arising from Customer Data provided without the necessary rights or consents, or from use of the Services in breach of these Terms or the law.
11. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the Services and cancel your plan at any time; access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
- We may suspend or end access for a material breach of these Terms, for non-payment, or where the law requires, with notice where practicable.
- When a plan ends you may export your papers and results for 30 days, after which data is handled as our Privacy Policy describes.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will tell you of a material change by email or in the Services before it takes effect, and the “Last updated” date will change. If you continue to use the Services after the change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory provision of law, the courts at Gurugram, Haryana, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services.
