Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy covers every paid plan of Merethion (OPC) Private Limited (One Person Company), including the Akriva™ platform at akriva.ai — the Institute, Solo Teacher and Student plans. Merethion sells every plan and issues every invoice. All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and exclude GST at 18%, which is shown on your tax invoice. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Free pilot

The free pilot needs no card and no payment, so there is nothing to cancel. It simply ends, and you are never charged unless you choose to buy a plan.

2. How to cancel

• Write to hello@akriva.ai from your registered email address, with your institute or student name and the payment reference.
• We confirm every cancellation within 48 hours and give you a reference number.

3. When a cancellation takes effect

• Monthly plans: at the end of the month you have paid for. You keep full access until then.
• Annual plans: at the end of the year you have paid for. You keep full access until then.
• After a cancellation we never charge you again.

4. When you get a refund

• Refunds are given only on request. To ask for one, write to hello@akriva.ai as described in section 2. No refund is made automatically.
• Requested within 7 days of your first purchase: a full refund, provided no paper has been generated (Institute and Solo Teacher plans) or no test has been attempted (Student plan).
• Requested after 7 days: no refund, including for the unused part of a month or year. Your access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
• Duplicate or failed payments, or a charge after a valid cancellation: always refunded in full.
• A fault on our side that stops you running a scheduled test: we extend your plan or refund the affected period, whichever you prefer.
• If we discontinue a plan you have paid for: a pro-rata refund for the unused period.
• Suspension for a breach of our Terms of Service: no refund.

5. How refunds are paid

• Refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment gateway partner, IDFC FIRST Bank.
• We start an approved refund within 7 working days. It usually reaches your account within 5–10 working days after that, depending on your bank.
• GST charged on a refunded amount is refunded with it, and we issue a credit note.

6. Renewals

Plans do not renew automatically and we never debit your account without your action. Before your period ends we send a renewal invoice or payment link; your plan continues only when you pay it.

7. After a plan ends

You can export your papers and results for 30 days after your plan ends. After that, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Delivery

Akriva is an online service. Access is delivered to your account immediately after payment, and nothing is shipped — see our Service Delivery Policy.

9. Payment disputes

If something about a charge looks wrong, please write to us before raising a dispute with your bank. Most billing questions are settled within a few days.

10. Complaints
